A part that fits the assembly
Wear or an unavailable part does not always require replacement of the whole assembly. We assess whether an existing element can be machined or a replacement manufactured. Material, dimensions, fit and operating conditions all matter.
Turning, milling and honing
Our own machining equipment connects component repair with the manufacture of required parts. We make parts and rings from ferrous and non-ferrous metals, selecting the process for the particular job.
Work on the honing machine
Honing is used to machine mating surfaces. We assess dimensions, material and condition before accepting a part. Non-standard honing work and its scope are agreed individually.
Questions about replacement parts
Is a worn sample enough?
It can help, but wear may obscure the original dimensions. Drawings and dimensions of mating parts are useful when establishing what can be reproduced.
Can a single part be machined?
Ask about your particular component. Dimensions, material, geometry and machining requirements determine whether we can undertake the work.
