An individual assessment
Some damaged assemblies need a solution outside routine repairs. Describe the fault, the component’s function and any difficulty obtaining a replacement. We assess whether machining or refurbishment could help.
Agreeing the work
Assessment considers application, damage, dimensions and available documentation. Depending on the findings, work may involve refurbishing mechanical elements, fitting them or making a required part. Unusual work on the honing machine is also agreed after assessing the component.
Discuss the job before delivery
Prepare photographs, dimensions and identification details. Not every repair is feasible or worthwhile. We confirm what is possible individually before agreeing the job.
Questions about non-standard repairs
What if I have no technical documentation?
A sample, photographs and details of mating parts may help. However, they do not always provide enough information to establish the required parameters.
Can work be arranged at a weekend?
Weekend work is possible by prior agreement on timing and scope. Workshop hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00–20:00; telephone contact is available on Sundays.
